Program Description
The goal of S.P.E.E.D. is to provide a program that has a focus on the basic fundamentals of sports. S.P.E.E.D. will teach its participants the basic fundamentals of: stretching, running form and technique, agility, body control, and overall explosiveness. More importantly, we will also teach participants the importance of WORKING AS A TEAM, and how to compete positively.
Sessions are held for (2) hours each evening with each site holding nine sessions. This setup allows our participants to see dramatic improvements over the course of the summer. The program is held in the evenings to accommodate our athlete’s daytime schedules. When an athlete enrolls in our program they are registered for the all the sites. Each participant can attend ANY of our sites any day and for as often as possible. Enrollment is OPEN TO ALL AGES AND ATHLETICS LEVELS
The 2010 season will mark the 13th year of Tony Reno’s S.P.E.E.D. Clinics. In this time we have worked with over 3,200 male and female athletes ranging from 7 – 24 years of age. Our athletes come to us from a wide variety of sports and athletic levels. Through their hard work and determination our athletes make consistent gains both athletically and socially.
S.P.E.E.D.’s program will meet the changing needs of today’s student- athletes, while teaching them the importance of TEAMWORK and POSITIVE COMPETITION. GUEST SPEAKERS will be brought into the program to share their experiences and speak on educational topics that will positively impact today’s youths.
S.P.E.E.D. employs the best college coaches who will help provide a positive experience for all of our student-athletes. Our program will build-up through the summer and have our athletes ready for their 2010 – 2011 seasons!
